Many times I'm asked what exactly inspires me to do a particular story the way I do, and I would have to claim the current impeachment battles between the Democrats and Republicans over the President and his conduct play a large role here. On one side, you essentially have a group of people who have never accepted Clinton's Presidency as legitimate, while on the other, you have a group of people who until recently controlled all the power in the House and Senate. Both sides would have you believe they're right, and if you choose wrong, it's you will contribute to the collapse of our way of life as we know it.

It's with this backdrop that the stage is set for much of the action that not only occurs in this story, but also major developments down the road.

BEHIND-THE-SCENES Dept: It's been especially gratifying to see the fans react in a positive manner towards the art of penciller Jim Valentino and inker Harvey Mercadoocasio after a long run by Manny Galan and Andrew Pepoy. More often than not, new artists stepping onto a book after someone whose work was really appreciated has departed usually find themselves behind the eightball in terms of winning the fans over. That most of the fans have choosen to sit back and enjoy Jim's work says a lot about both them and Jim's talent.
